PERIOD 1 (English 4)
1. 2 Column/Cornell Notes: The 4 Kinds of Writing
Descriptive: Uses the 5 senses (sight, sound, smell, taste, touch)
Narrative: Reporting or telling a story
Expository: Explains the facts; gives information
Persuasive: Presents an opinion and supports it with evidence
2. Write a paragraph that is DESCRIPTIVE.
HOMEWORK: List 5 experiences you've had that you remember
Examples: ( e.g. is the Latin abbreviation for exemplia gratia, which means an example given )
First day of something, an accident, a pet experience, learning something new, something unique, etc.

PERIOD 2 (English 4)
1. Finish introductions of partners.
2. Begin 2-column note taking skills.
HOMEWORK: List 5 experiences you've had that you remember

2. Get back quiz on A & B terms

HOMEWORK due Tuesday: Quiz on C terms pp 1260-1262.
3. Using quotes. Blend part of this quote, a complete sentence from Macbeth, into your own complete sentence: "Turn, Hellhound, turn!" (Macduff said it to Macbeth in the final battle)

PERIOD 6 (Test Prep)
1. Cornell notes on the organization of essay paragraphs
2. Handouts of sample essays for section 1 of SAT and critiques
HOMEWORK : Read handouts and draw arrows from critique to words being referred to.
