1. AR reading 10 mins
2. Fill out AR reading log sheet. Get log signed by teacher when you have the book you will be taking a quiz on.
3. Fill out Comment Sheet for Essays and bring your essay to get your grade

PERIOD 4
1. AR reading 10 minutes. Fill out log sheet.
2. Four kinds of writing: Write at least 30 words for each of the 4 kinds. In class assignment.

NARRATIVE: What happened. Example: Dan was walking across the street when he saw his friend.

DESCRIPTIVE: Sensory experience. sight, sound, smell, touch, and/or taste. Example: The golden turkey served warm from the oven tasted juicy and buttery.

EXPOSITORY: "Exposes" the facts; explains. Example: Most four year colleges require students to take a college board exam, such as the SAT and the ACT.

PERSUASIVE: opinion and support. Example: Today is a good day in class. I think that because no one is absent or upset. Also, students are smiling and finishing their work.
