2. Four kinds of writing: Write at least 30 words for each of the 4 kinds. In class assignment.
DESCRIPTIVE: Sensory experience. Example: The golden turkey served warm from the oven tasted juicy and buttery. sight, sound, smell, touch, and/or taste
NARRATIVE: What happened. Example: Dan was walking across the street when he saw his friend.
EXPOSITORY: "Exposes" the facts; explains. Example: Most four year colleges require students to take a college board exam, such as the SAT and the ACT.
PERSUASIVE: opinion and support. Example: Today is a good day in class. For example, no one is absent or upset. Also, students are smiling and finishing their work.
